Chinese officials have highlighted the importance of strengthening brand building for advancing new quality productive forces and high-quality development. They made the comments at the launch ceremony of the 2024 China Brand Day in Shanghai on Friday. The event is underway in both online and offline formats, and runs until Tuesday. The 2024 China Brand Day sees enterprises from diverse sectors, including energy, infrastructure and transportation, gathering in Shanghai to showcase their latest products and technologies.

Officials also stressed the importance of industrial and technological innovation while creating an optimal environment for the development of brands. Established in 2017, China Brand Day is observed annually on May 10.
